Founded in August of 2013 by Tracy Gates and Rebecca Walter, UGo Bars was created to deliver fresh and nourishing snack food to busy people. Tracy managed a busy Bloomington, Indiana restaurant and grew tired of always being hungry and not having a snack that offered nutritional value to her body. She wanted something that tasted better than the typical energy bar but was healthier than her favorite peanut butter sandwich, leading to why the first UGo bar that was invented was their Anutter Butter bar.
UGo Bars are freshly handcrafted and therefore only last 90 days, whereas most other packaged bars last around a year due to preservatives in the ingredients. Tracy and Rebecca are firm believers that just because you lead a busy life does not mean that you should sacrifice your health and forfeit healthy eating options.
